What should I wear to AirDance aerial arts classes?
The aerial arts present clothing limitations. We recommend flexible, body-hugging clothing that will stay in place when hanging upside down. Clothing should have NO hard fasteners or decorations (zippers, snaps, rhinestones, etc.). Torso should be fully covered. Good to have thighs and knees covered for trapeze and lyra (hoop), although not essential. Long or capri leggings recommended for fabric (silks). Supportive undergarments are strongly recommended for males, especially for working on the silks. We ask that you remove all jewelry, especially for fabric, and secure long hair away from your face. Please have fingernails and toenails neatly trimmed for fabric work. (Wow, those silks are really demanding!)

Twice a year AirDance New Mexico hosts a showcase and community art fair to show off the talents of all our students, young and not-so-much, and to highlight the artisans of Albuquerque and the surrounding area at our South Valley home, the AirDance ArtSpace. The atmosphere is informal, festive, and supportive! Participation is included in tuition for our children's classes and for class card holders. All students are encouraged to participate and are given guidance regarding constructing their presentations and extra rehearsal time to prepare. Admission is free, although we invite small donations to help cover costs. In addition to exciting aerials, music, food, and a raffle round out the afternoon!

Our Spring 2018 showcase (date TBA) will be at the AirDance ArtSpace, 3030 Isleta Blvd. SW. Vendors selling original wares (not factory-produced) may apply by inquiring at the information below. There is no booth fee and all sales are yours. We do ask that vendors contribute one of their products or services for our raffle.
