Thank God, Spirit, Creator, The Force - what have you - for DOGS!!
Although I've had bad months here and there, September 2004 was the very worst month of my life! It began with a botched spinal injection and ended with my truck being pelted with a deluge of concrete. (Thank all the above all over again for taking only the health of my truck and not that of my husband! See September 30th blog on FreshChaos.com for details.) In between I went through the uniquely adult hell that is a tonsillectomy performed on a person of voting age. And just a few days after my surgery, my mother died. So, yes, I'm a mess. But I can't begin to imagine how I would be if not for my AMAZING husband and the wiggly, hilarious, lovebugs that are The Three Schippeteers. They seem to know when I need to cuddle, when I need to force myself to get up and bask in the glorious outdoors of New Mexico, and when I need to laugh at a first-rate schipperke comedy show. We may joke that our Little Black Dogs often seem like Little Black Devils, but right now, for me, LBD means Lifesaving Belgian Dream! Saturday, October 02, 2004
