Happy Mother's Day
It wasn't all that long ago that we brought home the 'rescued' little Skipper on Mother's Day. He was our first Schip child... Tuesday, May 06, 2003
Skipperdoodle is diddling and doodling even more these days. Last week he went to the vet and had two teeth pulled. His breath had been getting bad over the last few months and his gums bled on the left the last few times I brushed his teeth. Thought maybe one back tooth was bad ... We don't like taking the schippeteers in for cleanings as they're sensitive to anesthesia, but now I feel guilty that I didn't take the green-eyed LBD (little black devil/dog) in sooner. Lesson learned!
Speaking of those emerald orbs, I recently found a picture of the Skipster as a puppy with those glowing green lanterns. Vet confirmed that his eyes (and everything else) are healthy. What a unique little guy! The youngsters were happy to see the old man returned safe and sound and greeted him with protracted sniffs and kisses! Our esteemed vet, Dr. Herbert, was also happy to see us as he was able to show off his new rescue, a young schipperke female named Arwin! (Did I spell that correctly, you Lord of the Rings fans?) Schipperkes - you can't have just one! |
