Waking in the middle of the night with a schipperke nestled in my armpit, assures me that the world will survive the onslaughts of our country's leaders. It also helps to have two more schipperkes asleep in their nesting fur coats on the floor at the foot of the bed. Praise the gods for The Great Jordano, Miss Melanie, and Skipperdoodle.
