Puma has brought an exhilerating sense of fresh birth and bloom to SKIPPERTOWN.
We have had a series of deaths and endings over the last few years both of human family and animal family....Enough already...Good Golly Miss Melanie! it is so good to have a fun little kitten.Puma has huge paws claws and legs...He's gonna give Melanie and Skipper plenty of NASCAR moments one day. Meanwhile, Skipper is 'indifferent' to the new arrival and Miss Melanie is 'overly interested'.Puma has made a tentative pact with our current cat, Tigger. They actually have spent a night together now. Tigger's former partner, Fergus, is one of three animals we lost this past year.So far, Puma is shaping up to be a good buddy for the Tigmeister. Thursday, June 21, 2001

Ooh...so...cute...almost as cute as our Schips. Sunday, June 17, 2001
A Skippertown Happy Father's Day to You!!
Today's Mellie Moment : I had just finished chores of dishes and laundry tidying and I went to the computer. I think that Miss Mellie thought the house was empty. I heard a crinkling noise and pit-patting toward the computer area. I look up from the keyboard and the Divine Miss M strolls in with a large bag of tortilla chipswhich she ever so carefully drops on the floor. She is about to thoroughly enjoy this Mellie Moment when she looks up to see me staring at her. She calmly backs away from the chips and rolls over for a Mellie Bellie rub. Is there no end to Schipperke cuteness? Thursday, June 14, 2001
Just back from a seven day rejuvenating splash in the waters outside of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Can't quite leave the tropics behind. Puerta Vallarta and Albuquerque have some similarities but neither water nor humidity is one of them. So I go to Walmart to reconnect with the good ole US of A but looking at dogfood just didn't do it for me.... No, you guessed it...'tis only the BRAVE AND MIGHTY SCHIPPERKEE that tells me I am home. And, for us, blessedly it is times two SKIPS at Skippertown where Mellie and Skipper welcome us back from our 14th anniversary trip to a land in a different latitude! |
